UNIVERSAL SLOW DANCE

Get past the junior high school bear hug and learn to really lead and follow, turn, and even dip. This is the easiest and most useful social dance style, and is danced to slow to medium tunes from all decades. The principles you learn in this class are transferable to any dance.

FOXTROT

A more formal style than Universal Social Slow, Foxtrot is dance from slow to medium music tempos and was most popular during the big band sound of the 30's and 40's.

WALTZ

Swirl and twirl around the dance floor with or without chiffon, top hat or tails!

TANGO

If Schwartzenegger can do it, so can you. Prerequisite: attitude!

CAROLINA SHAG

A smooth, sophisticated swing style from the southeastern United States danced to smooth R & B, with an emphasis on footwork.

Our Teaching Formats:

Best Foot Forward can teach you the dance of your choice in any of the following formats:

- Private lessons for one couple or for individuals
- Semi-private lessons for two couples
- Private group classes for 3 or more couples (form your own group!)
- We also do "survival" dance lessons for events and special occasions (see below)

"Survival" Dance Lessons -- a great idea for your special event!

Best Foot Forward offers entertaining "survival" dance workshops for groups. Our goal is to teach basic skills in a particular dance style within 20-60 minutes. Participants learn dance skills that they can use right at the event -- and beyond. If you desire, we can ask participants to change partners within the lesson time; thus, participants meet many different people at the event. No dance experience is ever necessary to join in our survival lessons. Any of the above dances can be taught.

Our survival lessons are the perfect entertainment for corporate events, wedding receptions, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and anniversary and birthday celebrations (We can handle groups of any size -- small groups all the way up to large groups of 1,000 people!)
