Hartford Swing Jam holds dances on the fourth Saturday of the month to provide an informal dance environment for East Coast, Lindy, and West Coast Swing dancing at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall, 275 Main Street in Wethersfield, CT (now has air-conditioning!). Beginners are always welcome and dance partners are not necessary. This is a relaxed dance setting featuring an equal mix of East and West Coast Swing tunes from the 40's to the 90's; plus a few waltz, hustle, and latin tunes. A perfect time to practice, swap steps, and learn a new technique. There is a beginner lesson from 7:00 to 7:45 pm and an intermediate lesson from 7:45 to 8:15 pm with dancing until 11:00 pm and the dances are alcohol- and smoke-free.

Unless stated otherwise, admission is $10, or $7 for members.

Our dance features an equal mix of lindy, east and west Coast tunes; plus a few waltz, hustle, and latin tunes. A perfect time to practice and swap steps. This event is run by volunteers -- come help and get free admission to the dance.
