The DanceNet website is written and tested primarily for the Mozilla Firefox browser, an open-source browser written with open standards that is open to *all* software developers. Some people who write for Internet Explorer create webpages that do not display properly in other browsers (mostly due to laziness or lack of knowledge...or just lack of testing).

Why did I bother to highlight these websites? Well, as a dance customer, I know that I wouldn't have bothered to go to those sites with Firefox (or Netscape or any other browser) if I knew that the website wasn't going to work with my browser. I'm saving some readers some aggravation: if they use a different browser by default, they will know they need to use Internet Explorer or not bother going to that website.
While the DanceNet website doesn't always display properly on Internet Explorer, I try to fix those situations using standard HTML.
It should be noted that Mozilla Firefox is available on variety of platforms including Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux and certain versions of Unix. A webpage created on one platform in Firefox will work fine on the other platforms. Some of my MacOS friends tell me that they prefer Firefox over Apple's Safari browser.
