This page covers mostly places within a few miles of Boston, though it might stretch all the way to I-495. If you're looking for something in your area (outside of Route 128) and you don't see it here, try looking north, west, south, or way west (western Massachusetts) of Boston.

Note that some venues close during the summer or whenever they feel like it. If they don't get listed on the Boston dance calendar , it means they didn't send a note confirming they'd definitely be open on a particular date. It'll be a good idea to call them or check their website.

No Dancing

There are few random places where you might find one of your favorite bands playing, yet there's no dancing. It'll probably be a bar or restaurant offering live entertainment. While the venue might be nice for dining or drinking, don't go there for dancing.
