Since tango-ing on the beach in April might be a bit too cold,...
Rugcutters Dance Studio is currently seeking a new home! The building where we've been for
the past decade or so has been sold, and our last class there will be on March 31st, 2014. Know of
a place that would good for dance classes? Send us an email at
Swing, Latin, Ballroom and Argentine Tango are all taught here as well as other dances. Group classes are currently held in Watertown Monday through Wednesday. The staff of Rugcutters Dance Studio can be found teaching all over the state the rest of the time. If you have limited time and would like to learn to look good on a dance floor the most cost effective was to do this is through our group instruction. It's fun, it's easy, and it's relaxed; but we're serious about how you look. There is a 10% discount for high school or college students (bring an ID). Interested in trying out a class before committing to a complete session? Pay for the first class and decide that evening if you want to sign up for the whole 5-6 weeks of classes. The "drop in" rate for a single class is $12 per person per hour.
The staff are also available for private lessons. To schedule private instruction for content, technique work, choreography, or coaching, contact the teacher directly (Ron at 617-393-0254 or Nancy at firstname.lastname@example.org). To get information or to get on the email mailing list, drop us a note at email@example.com, or call 617-393-0254.
Classes are held at the Elks Lodge, 268 Arlington Street (just off Mount Auburn Street) in Watertown. It's the yellow building next to the Premier Petrol gas station, and can be seen from Mt. Auburn St. It's very nondescript, so it's easy to miss. The entrance and parking are in the back of the building.
There is a parking lot behind the Elks Lodge. There is also a public lot right next to that, and a separate business lot that can be used after 6:00 pm.
Take the bus
route #71 from Harvard Square or Watertown Square that goes down Mount
Auburn Street. There is a bus stop at the corner of Arlington and Mount Auburn Streets.
