SloaneDance Class Schedule SloaneDance offers dance classes in Providence throughout the year. The classes are for adults but, kids 11 years old and up are welcome. No partner necessary to enroll. The instructor will try to gender-balance the classes so please email to register. Sarah Sloane teaching at Salsa by the Sea/Save the Bay in Newport You do not need to begin Intermediate Swing or Salsa with the "A" designation. Beginning Swing covers single and triple step swing, 3 basic turns, and the Charleston step. The Beginning Salsa Class class warms up with easy Merengue and Bachata steps then covers the three basic salsa turns (Exhibela, Dile Que No, and Enchufla). Intermediate Salsa focuses on more complicated moves built on the three basic turns. Argentine Tango is an ongoing class that starts with tango technique and movement then continues on to more difficult moves. Providence classes are held at the Community Church, 372 Wayland Avenue on the corner of Wayland and Lloyd on the east side of Providence. $35 for one 4 week class or $10/hour.
